Recording voice actors
GCAP 2020 talk: Recording Dialogue
I made a film about an incompetent producer, a long-suffering actor, and a cool sound engineer for a talk at GCAP in October 2020. We showed the things game designers need to think about when recording actors in a sound studio. This was directed, filmed and edited by the amazing Kristian Leadbeater in under a week, and very well received at GCAP. So go ahead and record dialogue for your own game!

Actor's lines
And here is the way I set out the lines for the actors - you probably won't have alternate lines so you won't need the whole Mood system.

The recording engineer needed the lines in recording order which was quite different to the lines the actors used. He was the one who asked for all the blank squares - don't ask me what they are for!
Talk about dialogue recording
I gave a talk at the Adelaide Game Development Talks about Recording Dialogue at GamePlus Adelaide on 23 August 2018. Originally I posted the video here, but the talk was then given, in a MUCH improved format, at GCAP 2020.
